As someone who has moved homes multiple times (more than 20 times actually!), I’ve both rented and owned my home, and I know the challenges that come with living in a space and wanted to make it perfect for yourself.

I didn’t want Design by Anaïs to be any interior design business. I had some unique ideas…

I grew up in France, and was on a path to be a lawyer. But I knew my creative side was more important to me. 

In 2016, I decided to flip my life upside down, and moved to Morocco. I spent 3 years there, between Agadir, Marrakech & Essaouira.

I split my time between working in real estate, and selling unique items like rugs, pillows, blankets, and baskets. I cherish the time that I spent there, and had learned so much about art and design.

Interior Design is my passion, and I’ve spent time traveling the world for inspiration.

Once I moved to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, I knew I had to take all of my cultural inspirations and love for design and turn it into the business I always imagined it to be.  

I’m personally a fan of the Japandi and Scandifornian styles. I love having a tidy apartment, with personal touches, and a lot of plants.

I also love finding inspiration on the streets of NYC. The buildings, the apartments,, the shops, the restaurants…I’m always finding new ideas for my projects.

In 2019, I moved from Morocco to New York, a city I had dreamed about for years.
